Men of ideas rule the world. Every great enterprise we see today started as an idea. This is why thinkers occupy higher positions in the society. They are men of initiative. They initiate profitable ideas and communicate them to those who produce the desired end results by putting them to work. The world is not ruled by men of strength, but by men of sense.
In his personal Testimony, Ben Carson, a world famous neurosurgeon asserts that the path to unleashing one's potential for excellence is by "Thinking Big" which he describes as "opening our horizons, reaching for new possibilities in our lives....." He however laments that many people do not realize that almost nothing is ever accomplished by anyone without their having spent some time at it, thinking about it, and analyzing it.
New innovations are the end products of resourceful thinking. Achievement do not answer to strength. (1Sam. 2:9). To think more is to exert less physical energy and yet obtain better results. When a man's mind is sufficiently committed to his work, he naturally comes up with better and faster approaches to the task before him. Thinking is the covenant high way to self - realization because the best of a man is reserved in his innermost being and it takes deep thinking to draw it out. In the word of Todd Siler, "if we don't learn to think, we become nothing and nothing is becoming to us."
The treasures of life are not found on the surface, one has to dig deep to reach them knowing fully we that the higher the value of a treasure one desires to have, the deeper the digging that is required. In the same way, it is deep thinking that explores and brings out those hidden treasures of the mind that make one a Star in life. "Counsel in the heart of a man is like deep water: but a man of understanding will draw it out." proverb 20:5.
Christianity is not just following a set of rules and doctrines mindlessly. Christ never intended for Christians to remove or suspend the use of their minds, rather they are t on renew it! (Rom. 12.2). The scripture commands Christians in Philippines 4:8 to think!
