"lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids"

Though God generally created the women folk to constitute ‘help meet’ unto the men, the activities of the devil and his demons and their human agents have given rise to another kind of woman.

So, this other women’s character is quite different from that of the one which was first created in the Garden of Eden. She has come to develop some characteristics that can rightly qualify her as being wicked.

Before then, the first woman, Eve, had been naked and never batted an eyelid. But from the point when she knew sin, the glory of God departed from her and her husband. In all these, they did not repent. Rather, the wicked character disposition remained in them and they began to raise offspring in that condition of sin.

Genesis 5:1-2 states, “ And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name seth.”

What was this likeness and image? Remember the initial image and likeness of God. (Gen 1:26-28) That was before sin. After sin, man developed his own image and likeness: the likeness of wickedness; the tendency to commit evil. It was in this stage of mind that he begat a son. Gen.5:1-2 records, “this is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day God created man, in the likeness of God made he him.

(2) male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created .”

So, we can see that above latest character disposition of humans after the contact with sin produced a different kind of personality who became dastardly (cruel and evil) in nature. Gen 4: 1-10 records “ and Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have begotten a Man from the lord……. From the above scriptures, we can see that Cain killed his brother Abel without any single act of provocation. Even when God sought to meditate on the matter, he (Cain) was somehow confrontational. “am I my brothers keeper?” He asked. That is why categorizing every woman a favored might lead one into believing that every woman s good. Therefore, it is not every woman that should be regarded as favored woman. It is only those that are born-again and have been washed in the blood of the lamb having accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior that can be classified as such.

The tag of favour outlines the potentials in being a Godly woman and offers chances of self actualization. There are women who cannot be categorized as favoured though their natural potentials point to that direction. The reason is because of their inability to maximize these potentialities in tandem with the word of God so that they can positively impact on the general society.

So, it is safe to assert that there are basically two categories of women:

·         The favoured woman

·         Unrepentant woman

Naturally there two sides of everything – good and the bad- character of women inclusive.

The question that require further elaboration here is this: who is the favoured woman and who is the unrepentant one? The favoured woman is Gods choice. She is the chosen woman. Deu. 7:6-9 states “ For thou art an holy people unto the lord thy God: the lord thy God has chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth………..

In this case, a favoured woman is chosen, saved and sanctified by the word of God and the blood of Jesus Christ.

Luke 1: 46-47, “ And Mary said, my soul doth magnify the lord, (47)…and my spirit hat rejoiced in God my saviour.”

Mary’s attitudinal disposition above typifies a woman who is saved and sanctified by the spirit of God, hence; her spirit magnified God. It is not something that has to do with physical looks or mere outward appearance. 1Pet. 2:9-10 captures a picture of the glory reserved or if you ;like, ascribed to the chosen ones. From the above, it is evidence that the chosen people are favoured and ant one chosen by God is highly favoured. The chosen ones belong to the priestly family of God, chosen above others, set aside and made holy and called out of darkness and ushered into the marvelous light of God.

On the other hand, the unrepentant woman believes in herself and the world around her. She is controlled by her flesh and it will not be too harsh to refer to such woman as wicked. Of course, any woman that is not born-again is a wicked woman. God is our source and requires that we abide in him. (John15:-5) he created us for his pleasure. He is holy and righteous and wants us to live by the same standards. Therefore, any woman that refuses to acknowledge the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ via repentance and genuine salvation and by extension refuses to accept him as lord and personal savior, is ungrateful and therefore wicked.

History has proved that women can do many evil deeds, without remorse. They can visit evil shrines, join witchcraft societies and others dreaded cults, commit adultery, abortion and dress anyhow without considering how heaven views such acts and so on.

The strange woman is dangerous. Today, her infiltration into other peoples homes remains the sole reason why such hitherto peaceful homes in the past, know no peace. The sweetness of her tongue is flattering. It can deceive a person into believing that it is enjoyment all the way while it is a highway to hell fire.
